  7. What is one fact about you that you think the congregation should know as they vote? (this is supposed to be VERY lighthearted)? On a light-hearted note, growing up in Oxford, I used to roller skate in our current church building and so the floor brings back some fun memories for me. I briefly thought about the possibility of getting the roller skates back out one more time after we move out, but then my wife chimed in that that could be a physically painful experience for me at this point in my life. Oh well! She’s probably right as always.
  8. Why an officer? I've grown up in the church most of my life and so Jesus has not been far away for me. My understanding of the gospel greatly increased in college through my involvement in RUF and in PCA churches since then. Because we moved a good bit the 15 years prior to us moving back to Oxford 10 years ago, I've been a part of several different PCA churches in other cities. Frankly, I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly, but I'm not deterred and I am more convinced than ever of the necessity of the church as a gospel community to facilitate healing into a hurting world. I believe my duty as an officer would be to protect that gospel home and to encourage that healing.
